Your visit, on your device
Your browser remembers your settings, discoveries and game progress on this device. Clearing browser data can remove that progress. Settings includes a file backup and restore option. Browser storage is separate for each site address and browser profile.
Understanding what people enjoy
I use Umami Cloud to understand which projects and parts of Loaflet people enjoy. It receives limited visit information and selected events, such as opening a project or About, following a profile link, visiting a room or finishing a run. Umami uses cookie-free session grouping and may infer an approximate location from connection information. Loaflet does not send your name, email, messages, account details or photos to analytics, and does not add advertising tracking or session replay.

Little updates
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email goes directly to Buttondown. You confirm the subscription by email and can unsubscribe using its links. Loaflet does not keep a second newsletter list or subscribe you when you contact me. Buttondown privacy policy.

Keeping your finds across devices
After discovering the game layer, you can choose an optional account. Netlify Identity handles your email and password. Netlify stores the game progress, earned and equipped looks, village choices and pond record you choose to sync. Small random save receipts help reconcile devices and prevent the same reward or spending from being applied twice. Photos and device settings are not uploaded. Signing in does not subscribe you to the newsletter, and account details are not sent to analytics.
You can keep playing locally, download a backup, sign out, delete cloud progress or delete your account in the save controls. Your separate guest copy stays on this device. A minimal deletion marker remains so an old offline device cannot silently bring deleted progress back; it contains no email or game history.
Photos and outside links
Photos are created in your browser. They are downloaded to your device or passed to a share destination you choose; Loaflet does not upload a photo library. External project links, video posters and videos may contact their own providers and follow those providers’ privacy policies. Hosting services also process the connection information needed to deliver the site.
